Burning Man Frog Farm Hot Springs 2004

The Earth Gardians led field trips up to the Frog Farm Hot Springs about a half hour bus ride from BRC. These were very informative - there being many serious birders amongst the group - who collectively identified over two dozen birds (who would have ever guessed there were even two dozen birds in this place!), and gave us a chance to experience the desert away from the hustle and bustle of BRC. We spent part of an evening at the Springs - and away from the lights the full splendor of the desert night sky could be appreciated. Since one of the group brought along a UV lamp, we also had a chance to hunt scorpions, which glow when exposed to UV.
