These are a few pictures I took at the Deer Valley Rock Art Center, located in a subdivision at the north end of Phoenix, Arizona, and just two miles down the road from where I was working. In addition to having far more petroglyphs than I'm showing here (I arrived at a poor time of day lighting wise, and I had to enhance the contrast on most of these shots), the Center is also a depository of information on petroglyphs throughout the southwest. For more information, do a google search on Deer Valley Rock Art, or try this link: http://www.asu.edu/clas/shesc/dvrac/. I also found the Native American Docent working there to be both knowledgable and engaging.
